AI consulting that tells you where AI is actually worth it
We help Australian businesses find where AI and automation will genuinely pay off — assessing your processes, ranking the opportunities, and handing you a clear, costed roadmap. Vendor-neutral advice from a team that also builds.
What is AI consulting?
A plain-English definition of AI consulting — vendor-neutral, and ROI-first.
AI consulting is advisory work that helps a business figure out where AI and automation will actually pay off — before spending a dollar building anything. Instead of starting with a tool and looking for a use, it starts with your business: where time and money go, which processes are ripe, and what's realistic given your data, systems and team. The output is a clear, prioritised roadmap — not a sales pitch.

For an Australian business, the value isn't a slide deck about “the future of AI.” It's a short, honest answer to three questions: what's worth doing, what it'll take, and what to do first. Good AI consulting is vendor-neutral — it should be willing to tell you that the answer is simple automation, off-the-shelf software, or sometimes nothing at all.
Because we also build — AI agents, automation, custom software and analytics — our consulting is grounded in what's actually buildable and what it really costs, not abstract theory. The roadmap we hand you is one we could deliver.
- Map — Where your time and money actually go.
- Score — Each opportunity: impact vs effort.
- Prioritise — Quick wins first, distractions last.
- Roadmap — A clear, costed plan — yours to keep.
Everyone says “use AI.” No one says where
You can't move for advice telling you to adopt AI — but very little of it tells you where, in your business, it's worth the money. So one of two things happens. Either nothing does, because it's not clear where to start and the risk of wasting money feels too high. Or a tool gets bought on a wave of hype, a pilot runs, and it quietly dies because it was never tied to a real problem or a real number.

The truth is that some AI projects pay for themselves in weeks and others never will — and the difference usually isn't the technology, it's whether the use case was chosen well. AI consulting exists to make that choice deliberately: to look at your actual processes, rank the opportunities by impact and effort, and point you at the one worth doing first. It's the cheapest step in any AI project, and the one that decides whether the rest is worth taking.
From “should we?” to “here's the plan”
A focused engagement that ends in a decision, not more questions.
AI readiness assessment
An honest look at where your business stands: your data, systems, team and processes. What's ready for AI today, what needs groundwork first, and what's not worth touching — an AI readiness assessment without the jargon.
Use-case discovery & prioritisation
We map your processes and find where AI or automation would actually move the needle, then score each opportunity by impact and effort — so you start with the quick wins, not the shiny distractions.
AI roadmap
A clear, phased plan: what to do first, what comes next, and what to leave alone. Tied to outcomes and rough costs, so you can decide with numbers, not vibes. The roadmap is yours whether or not we build it.
Build, buy or partner
The most valuable advice is often “don't build that.” We help you decide what to build custom, what to buy off the shelf, and what to skip — vendor-neutral, because we have no quota to hit.
Team enablement & training
The best tool fails if the team won't use it. We help your people understand what AI can and can't do, set sensible policies, and adopt the tools that stick. Practical AI training, not a one-off webinar.
Governance & responsible AI
Where your data goes, what's safe to automate, and where a human must stay in the loop. We help you adopt AI in a way that respects privacy and the Australian Privacy Principles — and that you can stand behind.
When the roadmap says “build,” we can deliver it — with AI agents, automation, custom software or analytics — or hand it over for your team to run.
What you walk away with
The headline isn't “an AI strategy” — it's clarity and a plan you can act on Monday. After AI consulting you know exactly where AI and automation will pay off in your business, ranked by what's worth doing first. You know roughly what each will cost and return. And you know what to ignore — which, given how much AI noise there is, is often the most valuable part.

That clarity saves real money. Instead of a hype-driven pilot that fizzles, you spend on the one or two things with a clear payoff, and you spend with confidence because the case was made before a line of code was written. And because the roadmap is grounded in what's actually buildable, the next step is obvious: implement it with automation, AI agents, custom software or analytics — or take the roadmap and run it yourself. Either way, you leave with a decision, not more questions.
Advice you can trust because it isn't selling you anything
The value of consulting is honesty. Here's how we keep it honest.
We'll tell you not to build
Our advice isn't tied to selling you a platform. If the answer is off-the-shelf software, simple automation, or doing nothing, we'll say so — even when it's less work for us.
Tied to ROI, not hype
Every recommendation is anchored to a real process, a rough cost and an expected return. No “AI transformation” deck — just what's worth doing, and why.
Grounded in what's buildable
Because we also build, our roadmap reflects what can really be delivered and what it really takes — not an abstract strategy that falls apart on contact with reality.
From a conversation to a costed roadmap
A short, focused engagement — not a project in itself.
Discovery
We learn the business — where time goes, what's painful, and what's growing — in plain language.
Assess
We look at your data, tools and team to see what's realistic today and what needs groundwork first.
Prioritise
We rank the opportunities by impact and effort and pick the first move worth making.
Roadmap
You get a clear, phased plan with rough costs — yours to run with, or have us build.
Whatever stage you're at with AI
AI strategy consulting for businesses that want a clear answer, not more options.
Cut through the noise
Swap a hundred vague “you should use AI” suggestions for a short, ranked list of what's actually worth doing in your business — and what to do first.
Figure out what went wrong
We work out why the last attempt fizzled and what to do instead — this time chosen for a real payoff, not the hype around a tool.
Find the fastest payback
We pinpoint the processes where automation or AI pays back quickest, so your first project frees up real time fast.
Whether you call it AI strategy consulting, an AI readiness assessment or an AI advisory, the goal is the same: a clear, honest answer to “what's worth doing first?”
Why businesses consult with us
We're an Australian software and AI studio that consults and builds — so our advice is grounded in what we can actually deliver, not theory. That also keeps us honest: we'd rather point you at the right small project than sell you a big wrong one. We start with the cheapest, highest-leverage step — figuring out what's worth doing — and if you want, we implement it with automation, AI agents, custom software or analytics. You get advice from people who've shipped the thing they're recommending — not a strategy from someone who's never had to build it.
What we'd help you implement
Consulting points the way. These are the ways we deliver it.
AI consulting: FAQ
What is AI consulting?
AI consulting is advisory work that helps a business decide where AI and automation are worth using — assessing your processes, data and team, then handing you a prioritised, costed roadmap. Good AI consulting is vendor-neutral: it starts with your business, not a tool, and it's willing to tell you when AI isn't the answer.
How is this different from a software vendor's “AI strategy”?
A vendor's strategy usually ends with their product. Because our consulting is vendor-neutral and tied to ROI, the recommendation might be off-the-shelf software, simple automation, or nothing — whatever actually pays off. We also build, so the roadmap is realistic, but we'll happily hand it to you to run yourself.
Do I have to build with Wozen afterwards?
No. The roadmap is yours. Many clients take it and implement it themselves or with their own team. If you'd like us to build it — with automation, AI agents, custom software or analytics — we can, but there's no obligation.
What do I get at the end?
A clear, prioritised roadmap: the opportunities ranked by impact and effort, rough costs and returns, what to do first, and what to ignore. Plus a readiness assessment of your data, tools and team. Something you can act on, not a vague deck.
Is my business too small for AI consulting?
Probably not. The smaller the business, the more a wrong AI bet hurts — and the more a well-chosen quick win helps. Consulting is the cheapest step in any AI project; for a small business it's often the difference between a costly mistake and a fast payoff.
How long does it take?
A focused engagement is usually a couple of weeks — enough to assess, prioritise and produce a roadmap, not so long that it becomes a project in itself. We'll scope it on the discovery call.
